Norway & Sweden
I am terrible at planning ahead, but I think booking my hostels/trains for my impending October trip to Scandanavia three weeks in advance is pretty good (for me, anyway).
October 15-19 - Oslo, Norway. (Visting the home country, though I won’t have a chance to go all the way up to Hell - near Trondheim - where my family is from.)
*October 16* - My birthday. In Oslo.
October 19 - Train ride from Oslo, Norway to Gothenburg, Sweden.
October 19-25 - Gothenburg, Sweden (or Göteborg, as some might have it).
October 20-24 - Internet Research 11.0: 11th Annual Conference of the Association of Internet Researchers (I’ll be presenting as a part of the “Philosophy of Facebook” panel).
The cool thing about being in Oslo over my birthday will be, well, being in Oslo over my birthday. However, I’ll be totes alone so if anyone out there knows anyone in Oslo that might be up for grabbing a drink or showing around a random American visitor, please do let me know! I will be super nice to them! And buy them food and drinks! I promise!
