All of the recipes from yesterday’s Oktoberfest meal were found in an old “church-style” cookbook of German recipes.
There were no less than 5 recipes for German-style potato salad. The recipe for the spaetzle was found, where else, but in the “Vegetables” section (note: spaetzle is made from flour, eggs and water/milk).
None of the recipes were followed exactly (especially, you know, because of the whole “making the meal vegetarian”), and in German cooking they really don’t need to be. The recipe above, however, takes the “whatever” approach to cooking to a new level.
